More Work to Be Done to End Prohibition on Federal Cannabis and Ensure Social Equity in the Cannabis Industry
WASHINGTON – The National Cannabis Roundtable (NCR) today applauded the passage of the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act (MORE Act) and pledged to continue working to promote social justice and equity in the cannabis industry.
“This is an historic opportunity for us to build on the momentum generated in this Congress,” said Saphira Galoob, NCR Executive Director. “Ending the federal prohibition on cannabis is good for the US economy, will increase competition in the legal cannabis marketplace, and ensure that everyone has a seat at the table to prosper from this promising industry. NCR applauds Congress and House leadership for their work on this historic vote and remains committed to fighting for social justice and equity in the cannabis industry.”
