National Cannabis Roundtable Supports CANNRA Leadership on Common-Sense Regulations for All Cannabinoid Products
Washington, D.C. – The National Cannabis Roundtable (NCR) commends the Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA) for its diligent work in identifying and refining best practices for responsibly regulating cannabinoids to protect consumer safety and public health within the rapidly evolving cannabis industry.
Saphira Galoob, Executive Director of the National Cannabis Roundtable, released the following statement on the document recently published by CANNRA, titled Best Practices and Guidance for Regulating Cannabinoids for Safety:
“As we advocate for the advancement of the domestic, regulated cannabis market, it is critical that the industry operates with the highest standards of safety and integrity. We are proud that our NCR members in the state regulated markets abide by strict testing, labeling, and packaging standards that provide patients and consumers with the highest-quality products and that keep intoxicating products out of reach for minors who are not medical patients. Like CANNRA, NCR supports common-sense regulations that ensure safety and the equitable treatment of all cannabinoid products. NCR extends its appreciation to CANNRA leadership and its members for their dedication to advancing best practices and responsible regulation in the cannabis sector – particularly given the rapid emergence of unregulated, intoxicating cannabinoids operating outside of such critical structures.”
The National Cannabis Roundtable is an alliance of cannabis companies, as well as ancillary services and solutions providers, who seek cannabis reform that nurtures the nascent domestic industry, protects consumers, and advances social equity.
