MORE Act Would Represent Historic Victory for Communities Adversely Affected by the War on Drugs, Says NCR

WASHINGTON – The National Cannabis Roundtable today applauded the scheduling of a floor vote on the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act (MORE Act).

“The MORE Act represents a historic victory for communities adversely affected by the War on Drugs and provides more opportunities in the cannabis industry for minority and women-owned businesses.  As this bill progresses, the National Cannabis Roundtable will continue to take action to right the wrongs caused by federal prohibition and do its part to promote social justice, equity and a diversified industry,” said Dr. Chanda Macias, first vice chair for NCR.
